"Paint Your Palette Blue And Grey" Don McLean

(I forgot a shout out to our friends in Mexico,  "!Dia felix de las constitution!"  "Happy Constitution Day!" and another shout out to our buddies in New Zealand, "Happy Waitaingi Day!"  A few days late, sorry!

My art professor asked if anyone wanted to go to the gallery and work on a van Gogh!
So I "van goed" as fast as I could to the gallery!  (I know that is a common pun but still a little bit funny?)
How great it was to sketch "Ravine" by my best art buddy, Vincent, while listening to  Don McLean's "Vincent" on my i-phone!

Me, sketching Vincent's "Ravine!"
(Thank you Nicole for taking photo!)
A very quick "sketch!"  Very limited palette!

Almost finished!
Acrylic Canvas 20" x 24"

  5. That song is so beautiful, and how wonderful to appreciate Van Gogh by listening to it, and sketching in front of his work. Must have been a lovely experience.

  10. Michael,
Great studies, always good to copy the masters to learn.
Glad to see you are still able to get out and about despite all the insolent weather!
Gogh forth and study my friend, gogh, gogh, gogh!
Your previous Monet studies turned out great, I like the split canvas study of haystack and cathedral.
    Keep painting...
