"And Miles To Go Before I Sleep!" (Robert Frost) Acrylic 20' x 24" Canvas

"The Agony And The Ecstasy?"

"In Progress"

(Aren't We All?)

Celeste Bergin, a fellow art blogger, and a great artist, requested a "Wave" painting!  I am always in the mood to paint ocean scenes.  I have been working on other stuff, mostly frustrating attempts at whatever! Haven't been making time to paint the ocean!  What is up with that! So, thank you Celeste for "getting" me back painting what I love to paint the most.  The others will just have to wait until they are ready to be painted!  Like most of my work I hardly ever know when I am finished.  That is so because I am never quite sure where I am going with my art!  I usually have an  idea but it is always vague!  Doing so leaves plenty of room for surprises and imaginative happenings.  So this piece is a work in progress!  May look at it tomorrow and feel it is complete or I may do whatever.  Look at it tomorrow with fresh eyes and ideas!
Thanks Celeste!
Michael

  4. So many great images in your spontaneity. I too love the colors Michael. I am swept under the sea beneath under the wave as it travels towards the shore. Wonderful movement, powerful emotion. Happy painting friend.

I am sooooo happy when I see your name appear on my blog!
Thank you so much for your very kind comments! I am glad Celeste suggested an ocean scene. It does make me so happy while I am painting the sea. So many things I enjoy about painting the ocean at its wildest. I love the colors, the movement, the drama, excitement, the ever changing motion is a challenge and a joy to paint! So, good on you, for saying good on me!
