"Red Hibiscus!" Watercolor Paper 12" x 18"
"Red Hibiscus"
A quick watercolor study for a future large acrylic painting. It is odd how something that was supposed to be a practice piece turned out to be pretty successful!
Beautiful Hibiscus ! Someday, I'd like to try flowers again.. I don't have too much luck with it but this is really nice, Michael..color, shading and perfect background. A definite success.!!
Hilda! Thank you for visiting again and again leaving such fine words! I really appreciate your supportive comments! Starting today I will be checking your blog for a beautiful flower painting by you! Take care. Michael
This is definitely successful!!! I love the color and the looseness to this. I can't wait to see it as an oil painting too. Thanks for sharing your work with us.
Hello Joan! Thank you so very much! I do tend to paint with watercolor in a very loose fashion. I am happy your appreciate my work. Especially you being such a talented watercolorist! Take care. Michael

Michael, it's beautiful. You caught the vibrancy and the fragility of the flower. Your edges are gorgeous.
