    1. "Oh Canada!"
"Passion!" Certainly is a wonderful compliment! Thank you Sally! Passionate is exactly how I feel about the ocean! I am so very happy that it shows in my paintings! I have to make an effort sometimes to paint other things beside the sea! Swirling, crashing, wild, mysterious, ever changing waves are always on my mind to paint! I think I will go an paint an ocean scene now!
Thanks again my Canadian art buddy!

I googled some Australian terms. I hope I am ending this correctly!
Your USA "Cobber!" (I hope "Cobber" means "friend!")

    2. Hi Michael,
It was very thoughtful of you to look up some Australian terms. Yes "cobber" does mean friend. It doesn't actually get used in everyday language here anymore though. In fact I doubt that it's been in common usage much in the last 50 years or more, so it is strange that it is still referenced as if it is a current Australianism. For some reason it seems to also turn up in Australian movies when they are laying it on thick with the accent."Mate" is the common word for friend here. It used to only be used between men but the younger ones use it more for males or females these days.
But you are very welcome to be my USA cobber - I like it!

  7. I love the motion in the waves...and the colors you used!! This is such a beautiful seascape, Michael!!! We've been having some very strong winds all day and now they're talking about coastal flooding!!! I'm a little nervous so hopefully the weather forecast is wrong!!

  8. Hilda!
Hope and pray all is well with you!
We also are having very heavy wind and rain. Snow forecasted for later.
Lost power on an off all night! Power back on now!
I also hope the forecast is wrong! Hang in there my friend!
Stay in touch with friends, neighbors, and family!
I will be thinking of you and wishing you well.
    Take care.
    Michael
