"Some Snow MFA"

So happy to get to back to my art class this week.  No class last week because of huge snowstorm!

The "Appeal To The Great Spirit" looks even better with a little bit of snow!
"East Boston Triple Decker"

A very quick study of an "East Boston Triple Decker!" I am hoping to finish this next week when class resumes.

  3. Your painting is shaping up very nicely Michael and I will look forward to seeing it completed.
It is great to see this wonderful statue again in the snow. If I ever get to Boston it will be very special seeing it in person having now been introduced to it through your very entertaining and informative blog. I never knew of its existence before. It is such a profound work of art.
That snow looks like a lot of fun to play in.

  4. Hello Wendy!
Thank you Wendy! I am hoping to finish it next class!
I am happy you like the statue. It is quite impressive! "Profound" is a very good description!
Children love to play in the snow! Many adults also! The snow changes everything! It can cause many problems but I still find snow very beautiful and quite appealing!
    Pain on!

  5. I'm glad you got to attend class...the snow looks pretty deep. Most of what we had is finally gone...yeah!

This is off to a great start. I'll be back to see the progress on this.

  8. Hello My Art Buddy Susan!
So very good to hear from you!
Yes, I am very lucky! I appreciate every second and try to savor every moment! Like you wrote on your blog, we are all lucky to be dong the thing we love to do, make art!
I love going to Boston and the MFA so very much! Love the city! So much art!
I am glad you enjoyed the photo! Glorious sky is correct! When I took the photo I didn't realize how beautiful it was until I posted it! I love the simplicity of the colors and shapes. Really just three, the very blue sky, the earth tone structures and the most majestic white snow! Hope to finish painting soon!
Take care and art on! Thanks for writing Susan!
