"My Classroom Door"
Because of the horrific tragedy in Connecticut it is so difficult for me to paint!
I was an elementary and middle school teacher for thirty-five years. "Sad" cannot even begin to describe my painful and empty feelings. My heart and my soul go out to the victims and their families.
Incredibly sad. Stunned. Shocked. We had all the same emotions yesterday. And the worst part? A newscaster whose daughter was present in a like situation said it would happen again, for we lack mental health programs in our schools and screenings. His daughter survived.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda,
DeleteThanks for stopping by.
Let's hope.

I couldn't do anything all day either. By the afternoon, my family came together to hold another and appreciate what we do have. Thanks for the honest post!
ReplyDeleteThank you Kamela. So glad you wrote. You are so right. Enjoy your family every second.

Michael, I couldn't agree more.
ReplyDeleteWho, among us, does not know a beloved child of that tender age. So innocent, so pure....
I'm lost for words......
Hi Mary,
