I decided I better stop. I am going to frame it, sign it, and store it. Maybe some time in the future I will look at it with fresh eyes and realize it is done. Now I feel it is finished. I am happy and enjoy looking at it. I hope others enjoy it also.
Take care and thanks for visiting my blog and leaving comments.

How I envy someone who knows when to stop. This is done. It has just enough and a wonderful feeling. It's airy and yet a tight composition. Very nice Michael. Brilliant that you knew when to pull off.
ReplyDeleteLinda!

I love how you use such non-traditional colors for buildings!! I think you were smart in stopping. That is a skill that I need to develop. lol Good job!
ReplyDeleteJoan,
DeleteSo nice of you to visit my blog and leave such wonderful comments. I tend to lean toward a very non-traditional style of painting and it pleases me greatly that you like my work. Thank you for your support. It means a lot!
I am constantly battling when to stop most of my paintings. I think that is because I seldom know exactly where I am going. Odd huh?
Thanks again for the visit!

I just discovered your blog, Michael :) I agree, it is so hard to know when I'm finished with a piece and often I overwork it instead of stopping. well done.
