"Boston Swan Boats" Oil Canvas 20" x 24"

I did this painting some time ago and I thought I would post it while I work on a Massachusetts autumn scene.
The swan boats are a huge hit for locals and tourists alike in Boston, MA!
I have great memories of riding them when I was a boy growing up in East Boston.

  1. Nice job on the boats and the bridge behind them. The last time I was in Boston it was in winter so I didn't get to see the boats on the water. Have fun painting the autumn colors!

    1. Thanks Joan! I love the swan boats and the Public Garden in Boston.
Maybe your next visit to the city will be in the spring then you can enjoy the swans!
I did have a blast painting two more cranberry bog scenes. One in watercolor and the other acrylic!

    1. Thank you Celeste.
You are right a ride on the swan boats is an unforgettable experience. You are right again, Boston is very cool. I was born in Boston and lived there for many years. I love everything about the city. One of my favorite songs is "Dirty Water" by Dropkick Murphies. Originally by the Shondelles?
I finished two more cranberry bogs today. Both very unusual! It seems my art work 'creates itself". I just try not to interfere! ( I am paraphrasing a wonderful quote by Joyce Carol Oates!)
