"Blue Jay" Acrylic Slate 9"x 12"

I thought I would post something different. In many parts of New England folks hang welcome slates by their front doors.   Often they display them indoors.  I usually paint these New England Slates for craft shows, consignment, of gifts. I love blue jays.  Maybe I will post more later?

  1. Nice look to this!!! I love the texture of the feathers. I've never tried painting on slate, but I have tried painting on rocks.

  2. You captured its personality great Michael.
Blue jays always look angry with their head markings and they are just as pesky and territorial as those mocking birds Rose mentioned... and loud!

The blue jays are certainly territorial also but so very cool looking.
